Dedication, empathy, love, caring, trust,
and honesty are just a few adjectives to describe
a nurse. As a registered nurse for over 20 years, Kim enjoyed
educating and caring for patients of all ages, although her favorites
were expectant moms and children. Kim discovered her passion for
helping people of all ages stay healthy and vital as they aged while she worked
as an R.N at a boutique preventive medicine clinic.
Kim has
two sons, who as young children were challenged with
allergies, asthma and constant throat and ear infections.
Both were on many medications including, inhalers, nebulizers, antibiotics
and occasionally even steroids.
Kim became more passionate
about health and wellness as she learned of the toxic chemicals and the
unhealthy effects of common household cleaners and personal care
items found in most homes, schools and day care centers. These common
household products contain chemicals that have been linked to many
childhood diseases. Of these household products, hundreds of these
common chemicals have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer, and
psychological abnormalities.
Kim
did the necessary research;
she rid her home of toxic products and replaced them with green
cleaning products containing safer, healthier ingredients. The
improvement in her
children's health was nearly immediate, and quickly, as their
conditions
improved, they no longer had any use for the many pills, inhalers, and
nebulizers they had used daily.
Today, Kim is
a strong advocate of educating families to the dangers of common
products found in the home, and she recommends safer, healthier, and more
cost effective alternatives; especially green cleaning products. It literally costs less to use better, safer
green cleaning products. Kim's mission continues - to create the healthiest and safest
environment possible for children and their families. "No one can do everything, but everyone can do something."

As one of 13 kids in her family (she being the ninth)
Mariette is an outspoken advocate of children’s health and environmental
safety. “I was brought up on a farm in a little village in Northern
Canada. The air was so wonderfully pure. We were blessed with
marvelous vegetable gardens,
very rich and abundant, even if we had only three months of the year to grow our
gardens. Then I moved to the big cities….."
It is only when I joined a Wellness Company dedicated to the
concept of TOTAL WELLNESS, from physical, environmental,
financial and personal wellness, that I realized how badly we have polluted
our homes, our foods, air and water and placed our families, our cherished children,
in terrible toxic and harmful environment.
Yes! I am very passionate about
educating, supporting and
guiding families, day care centers, and schools to substitute everyday
toxic and harmful cleaning and personal care products for healthier,
safer and more environmentally friendly ones.
Green cleaning products is the first step. Thank God we DO have alternatives today. We have products that help us
live
longer, healthier, more vibrant lives. We live at a time when
environmentally
conscious parenting is more possible than ever. We live at a time when there is a keen awareness of how
the environment affects our children and how we raise our children affects the environment.
We can make our homes and the environment cleaner, safer places by going green
the easy, simple and inexpensive way.
Kim and I founded Green Kidz R Us to educate and help
families discover products
designed to be of better value, more economical than name brands sold at
grocery stores; products safer for your home and your family. We provide products and
teach practices that support you in teaching your children what
it means to be environmentally responsible. Green Kidz R Us will
definitely enhance your lives and the lives of your loved ones as well as create a
healthier planet to inhabit. Although we do not sell products we provide the means to obtain safer, healthier, green items at wholesale cost.
"Even small
changes can make a big difference. It
all comes down to smart choices!”
